If you’re going from Bangkok to Pattaya, you have several good options. Pattaya is about 150 km southeast of Bangkok.
1.Bus, my recommendation, The easiest and cheapest option for most travelers is the room Royal coach from Mecca bus terminal.
Ekkamai Bus, Terminal right near BTS Ekkmai About 148 Bhat.
Around 2-2.5 hours depending on traffic, arrives at Pattaya Bus Terminal on North Pattaya Road.
Taxi/Grab, About 1.5-2.5 hours roughly 1200-1700 Bhat door to door so it’s much easier if you have luggage.
if you’re arriving at Suvarnabhumi Airport, you don’t need to go into Bangkok first. There is a direct bus 389 to Pattaya from the airport around 130- 151 Bhat.
Absolutely Pattaya has much more than nightlife. There are beaches, islands, temples, viewpoints, markets, and family attractions.
Best beaches :
Jomttien Beach Along wide beach south of Central Pattaya, generally more relaxed than Pattaya Beach with plenty of restaurants and cafés
Pattaya Beach The central beach right next to the main tourist area very convenient, but it’s more urban and busy.
Koh Larn For better Beach water I would definitely consider a day trip to Koh Larn It’s an island just off pattaya reached by Ferry or Speedboat . Beaches such as Tawanna and same mayor popular.
Best attraction
sanctuary of true An enormous wooden temple, like structure, covered with intricate carvings, one of Pattaya most impressive sights.
Big Buddha (Wat PhraYai) A large Buddha status on Pratumank Hill ,with views over Pattaya.
PattayaViewpoint, good place for photographs, especially looking over the bay.
Nong Nooch tropicalgarden huge landscape gardens with tropical plants and cultural shows .good if you want something away from the beach.
Thepprasit Nightmare Markt Good for Thai food. ,snacks , clothes and souvenirs.
Day 1: Pattaya beach, viewpoint,Big Buddha,Jomtien, night market
Day 2: Koh Larn full day trip.
Day 3: Sanctuary of Truth , Nong Nooch Garden, relax on Jomtien Beach.
If your goal is beautiful beaches in nature rather than nightlife, I’d spend more time around Jomtien and Koh Larn and less time in central Pattaya.
